Young golfers at The Golf Practice now are able to better choose the program route that best suits their goals — whether that means playing varsity golf or competing for a state title and beyond — after the academy recently unveiled a clearer new structure.
The new structure is made up of two routes: High School Prep and M360 College Prep. These replace the former class names and expand the number of classes offered at the academy, widely regarded as the premier golf instruction facility in Chicagoland.
“We felt it was important to change the program names to provide a clearer pathway for our competitive juniors and their parents,” said Alex Prior, owner and director of operations. “With the new junior pathway, our students can easily see the next step in their progression within our academy.”
High School Prep now consists of an 11U class, a 14U class and a 17U class. It’s designed for golfers who want to play on their varsity teams while balancing other athletic commitments and busy schedules.
The other route, M360 College Prep, is designed for players who are all-in on their golf journey and aspire to play in college—or even compete at the highest levels. This program calls on young golfers to commit to year-round physical, technical, and mental training.
“We are passionate about creating an environment where the most skilled and dedicated juniors can train toward their lofty goals, while also providing a place where juniors with other interests and obligations can pursue their own competitive goals,” Prior said. “This new two-pronged approach accomplishes both of those goals and gives every student a place to belong at The Golf Practice.”
The M360 College Prep program also includes a 14U class for 6th–8th graders and a 17U class for high school students. In addition, it now features a new 11U class for 3rd–5th graders.
“The goal of the new class is to give young players a place to begin developing their game so they can reach their highest aspirations,” Prior said.
Prior noted that The Golf Practice’s Junior Essentials program remains unchanged, continuing to serve as a feeder system for the academy’s competitive programming.
“At the end of the day, we are proud to guide junior golfers toward healthy habits in golf that will create achievement in the short term and a relationship with the game that will last a lifetime,” Prior said.
