More than 40 junior golfers took part in this year’s Donahue Cup, the Golf Practice’s preeminent event held each season to celebrate our students achievements on and off the course.
The event, named after the Golf Practice’s founder Peter Donahue, was held on Oct. 26 at Sunset Valley Golf Club, where up-and-coming juniors played with competitive high school players in a fun nine-hole team format.
“People that come out during this time of the year to be here, they’re real golfers,” Donahue said during his remarks to the golfers, their parents and staff during a reception after the competition, which has been held since 2016.
Teams from Evanston and Lake Forest tied for first place at 5 under par during the shotgun event held under sunny skies and mild fall conditions.
